Change
at the top at Farm Electronics
After
26 years at the helm of leading UK Grantham based crop storage
specialist Farm Electronics Limited Bill Leslie has retired
and handed over the reins of managing director to Tim Dudfield,
the company's former sales manager.
Tim
Dudfield (55) who joined Farm Electronics in 1983 is joined by
Paul Jackson, production director and Charlie Taylor,
technical director.
Under
the direction of Bill Leslie Farm Electronics has seen consistent
growth and is now a global leader in potato and onion storage
systems.
“I
have been managing director since 1982 and so after another
good year in 2007 the company is in a very strong financial
position and it seemed opportune to make the management changes
now. The people working for Farm Electronics have been
responsible for the company's success in the past and I am
confident they will continue to be equally successful in the
future,” said Mr Leslie.
Tim
Dudfield originally from Oxfordshire who moved to Lincolnshire
in 1974 when he joined Cornercroft Agriculture, will lead
a board of directors who between them have nearly 120 years
experience in the industry. After attending Rycotewood College
Thame Oxfordshire where he studied Agricultural Engineering
he worked for P.A.Turney agricultural engineers at Middleton
Stoney Oxfordshire, on a sandwich course.
Paul
Jackson joined Farm Electronics in 1972 is currently production
director and will carry on with this roll. Charlie Taylor
who is currently refrigeration manager becomes technical director.
Charlie joined Farm Electronics in 1991 having previously
been service manager for Wathes Refrigeration, and has worked
in the refrigeration industry for most of is career,
“With
the three of us running Farm Electronics there will be very
little change from the customers viewpoint,” said Tim Dudfield.
Farm
Electronics design and manufacturer all the principle components
in their crop storage systems at the company's factory based
at Woodland Drive, Alma Park,
Grantham .
The
company has won two top industry awards. "The RASE Silver
Medal we received is recognition of product quality and is
an award for everyone in the company" said Bill Leslie.
The
company's personnel include specialists in electronics, electrical
engineering, agronomy, air movement and refrigeration.
Manufactured
products include Cropscan processor based controls, electrical
control panels, motorised louvres, fans and ducting systems
and a range of refrigerated cooling systems from 12kW to 108kWatt
capacity.
